Job Description

Overview

  • Lead and manage a team within the Private Assets division, ensuring high-quality fund accounting services.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures.
  • Oversee Net Asset Value calculations, financial statement preparation, and partner/shareholder allocation reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, external parties, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for team members.
  • Drive efficiency initiatives, technology automation, and procedural improvements within the department.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead strategic planning and execution to achieve business objectives within the Private Assets division.
  • Oversee daily operations, resource allocation, and workflow to meet client service level agreements.
  • Review fund-specific expenses, accounting work, and client deliverables prepared by staff.
  • Coordinate external audit processes and ensure timely responses to client queries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on client integration, onboarding, and service level agreements.
  • Evaluate team performance, conduct reviews, and organize professional development plans.
  • Participate in technology automation, procedure development, and special projects.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and provide technical accounting knowledge to clients.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience, with 12 years preferred, in fund accounting or related roles.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally at the director level or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of private equity funds, partnership agreements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with Net Asset Value calculations, financial statement preparation, and fund-specific expense reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and external parties effectively.
  • Proficiency in managing audit processes and implementing efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with technology automation and procedural development within fund accounting.
