Overview
- Support and drive cross-functional drug discovery programs from early discovery through candidate nomination and IND-enabling studies.
- Manage multiple programs independently across various sites, ensuring scientific alignment and maintaining integrated timelines.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively while maintaining risk and issue logs for effective program management.
- Prepare program updates and governance materials for senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of status and risks.
- Contribute to improvements in project management tools and processes, supporting best practices implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure program alignment and successful execution.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, science-driven environment, leveraging strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead cross-functional project teams spanning biology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, toxicology, CMC, and translational sciences.
- Develop and maintain integrated program timelines, monitoring progress to plan and budget.
- Define and track key milestones, including candidate nomination and IND-enabling activities.
- Facilitate effective team meetings and document clear decisions and action items.
- Identify scientific and operational risks, partnering with functional leads to develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare program updates and governance materials for senior leadership, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience in biotech, pharma, or related industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a solid understanding of the drug discovery process.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and maintain integrated timelines.
- Experience in risk identification and mitigation strategies within scientific and operational contexts.
- Proficiency in project management tools and processes, contributing to continuous improvement.
