Job Description

Overview

  • Drive innovation in analytical method development and validation within a GMP-compliant laboratory environment.
  • Lead technical projects and mentor team members to enhance collective expertise.
  • Ensure operational efficiency by maintaining and troubleshooting advanced laboratory instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address product quality and compliance challenges.
  • Perform rigorous testing on raw materials, finished products, and stability samples.
  • Adhere to ISO 17025 standards and stay informed on scientific advancements.
  • Promote laboratory safety and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Support method transfer protocols and provide timely testing results for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Plan and execute analytical projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Develop and validate robust analytical methods for material and product testing.
  • Provide technical expertise and optimize methods for marketed and developmental products.
  • Train and mentor laboratory personnel in advanced techniques and data analysis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with departments to investigate and resolve quality and compliance issues.
  • Perform statistical analyses and design experiments to support laboratory operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including FDA, ICH, and GLP/GMP standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a GMP-compliant laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency with laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, ICP-MS/OES, and LC-MS/MS.
  • Experience with Empower and other laboratory software is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of chromatographic and spectroscopic methods and sample preparation techniques.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ICH guidelines, and GLP/GMP standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
