Overview

  • Lead payroll operations for a dynamic organization, ensuring compliance with multi-state regulations and tax laws.
  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for diverse employee categories and contract types.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to enhance payroll systems and address employee inquiries.
  • Support audits and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Provide expertise in advanced payroll systems and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ensure confidentiality and uphold high standards in payroll operations and reporting.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing payroll processes and risk mitigation.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage multi-state payrolls, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax documents, maintaining accuracy and regulatory adherence.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll processes for employees.
  • Generate detailed payroll reports and meet fiscal reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Support internal and external audit processes with accurate payroll documentation.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, ensuring precision and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with workers' compensation and benefits administration policies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of payroll processing experience, including government contracting.
  • Proficiency in Dayforce/Ceridian and Deltek CostPoint systems preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills required.
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll cycles and ensuring tax compliance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure payroll accuracy consistently.
  • Proactive mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
