Overview

  • Lead endoscopy nursing operations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Support high-quality patient care and nursing practices.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and productivity targets.
  • Promote employee satisfaction and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality improvement processes.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and care teams.
  • Provide direct patient care and education as needed.
  • Supervise staff and ensure adherence to standards of care.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and program development.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Monitor staff performance and quality of procedures.
  • Implement changes to support organizational goals and resource utilization.
  • Evaluate departmental functions and patient service delivery.
  • Ensure services meet age-specific patient needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Guide staff adherence to professional standards and practices.
  • Provide nursing assessments and individualized care plans.
  • Document patient care according to policy.
  • Act as a resource for education and information in area of expertise.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum five years of cumulative GI experience.
  • One year supervisory experience in relevant area.
  • Current licensure with California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and delegate effectively.
  • Certified Gastrointestinal Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred.
  • Membership in professional organizations and conference attendance desired.
