Overview

  • Contribute to maintaining and updating accounting books and records for a leading organization.
  • Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and analyses adhering to accounting and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in reporting, budgeting, audits, and studies to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures and controls.
  • Conduct research and analyses independently to address accounting challenges.
  • Engage in special projects and assignments for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain and update accounting books and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and financial reports as required.
  • Support reporting, budgeting, audits, and rate cases with detailed information.
  • Review group work for compliance with company procedures and controls.
  • Assist supervisors in managing department activities and priorities.
  • Perform research and analyses to address accounting and regulatory challenges.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Respond to company emergencies to support service restoration efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time work experience in accounting or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Business Suite preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Driver's license required for emergency response duties.
