Overview

- Perform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, hearing tests, and blood glucose monitoring.
- Maintain and manage clinical supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care.
- Engage in patient education, promoting understanding of health conditions and treatments.
- Document clinical observations and maintain accurate medical records.
- Adhere to infection control measures and safety standards in all procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Screen, discharge, interview, and counsel patients under RN supervision.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed by practitioners.
- Perform diagnostic tests and assist in therapeutic procedures.
- Order and manage clinical supplies, maintaining accurate records of controlled substances.
- Process laboratory tests, referrals, and radiology requisitions efficiently.
- Maintain and sterilize clinical equipment and medical instruments.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure availability of necessary instruments.
- Follow up on abnormal lab results and urgent recalls.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance clinical knowledge.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State.
- Experience in healthcare delivery; recent graduates are welcome to apply.
