Job Description

Overview

  • Lead the Electrophysiology Lab operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians to address departmental needs and enhance performance and quality.
  • Develop and manage annual operational budgets and capital expenditures effectively.
  • Provide comprehensive reports to administration, including financial variance analysis and departmental statistics.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure resource availability for assigned areas.
  • Implement action plans to address variances in practice and operations.
  • Establish guidelines for practice utilizing expert resources and evidence-based standards.
  • Facilitate the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives annually.
  • Ensure care provided aligns with best practices in quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise personnel and patient care within the Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Collaborate with physicians to identify and resolve performance and quality issues.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets and capital expenditure plans.
  • Provide detailed reports to administration, including financial analysis and departmental statistics.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address operational variances.
  • Establish and maintain practice guidelines for assigned areas.
  • Facilitate the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in electrophysiology.
  • At least 3-5 years of management experience in electrophysiology or cath lab operations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and operational planning effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
