Overview

  • Lead financial strategy and operations for a dynamic healthcare organization, ensuring compliance and optimization of reimbursement methodologies.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and long-term plans to support organizational growth and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial goals with strategic objectives and mission-driven initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering professional development and departmental excellence.
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and regulatory compliance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Implement advanced financial systems and analytics tools to enhance decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations and reimbursement frameworks, optimizing organizational revenue streams.
  • Engage with the Board Finance Committee to provide insights and drive informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct all financial management activities, including reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Lead value-based payment strategies and managed care financial modeling to enhance organizational performance.
  • Supervise the preparation of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports and ensure timely submission of required audits.
  • Develop financial analytics dashboards to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Manage enterprise revenue cycle performance, including KPIs such as Days in AR and Net Collection Rate.
  • Oversee HRSA grant financial management and compliance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Supervise finance staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on benefits, pension, and payroll management to support employee satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required; CPA or similar certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of financial management experience, with 7 years in healthcare settings; FQHC experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of reimbursement methodologies, including PPS, APGs, and NY Article frameworks.
  • Proficiency in financial systems modernization and business intelligence tools for enhanced analytics.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making within complex healthcare environments.
  • Ability to manage and mentor diverse teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software packages such as Great Plains and Dynamics.
