• The Hedge Fund Operations Manager will support back and middle office operations for a dynamic investment management firm.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO to oversee accounting, reporting, and operational processes.
• Engage in hands-on responsibilities, including trade reconciliations, fund administration, and compliance procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment managing diverse financial and operational tasks.
• Contribute to the monthly NAV close process and financial reporting initiatives.
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors and service providers.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, including 13F, 13G, and Form PF filings.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to achieve organizational goals.

Hedge Fund Operations Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform daily reconciliations of positions and cash with prime brokers and administrators.
• Coordinate with brokers and administrators to resolve trade breaks and ensure settlements.
• Monitor and process corporate actions, dividends, and proxies efficiently.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and reporting.
• Oversee fund administrator deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support operational due diligence and investor inquiries regarding processes.
• Participate in internal valuation and compliance committees.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve workflows.
• Maintain strong relationships with service providers and stakeholders.

Hedge Fund Operations Manager Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
• 2-10 years of experience in fund operations or prime brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of hedge fund accounting and NAV reporting.
• Experience with fund administrators and external auditors preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Eze Eclipse and Bloomberg is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
