Medical Director Overview

  • The Medical Director role involves applying clinical expertise across healthcare divisions to support strategic initiatives and improve health outcomes.

Medical Director Key Responsibilities & Duties

Medical Director Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a residency training program and board certification in an ABMS/AOA-recognized specialty.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field, with 10 years preferred.
  • Current North Carolina medical license and relevant non-clinical experience.
  • Proven leadership skills in project planning and management within healthcare settings.
  • Expertise in strategy development, care management, and healthcare program operations.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating clinical data and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in vendor management, community outreach, and partnership development.
