Paralegal Overview

  • The Paralegal role provides essential legal support to the Chief Legal Officer, staff attorneys, and Legal Operations Manager.
  • Engage in contract drafting, review, and management, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal and business teams to resolve legal matters effectively and efficiently.
  • Utilize Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and Microsoft Office tools to manage legal documentation.
  • Conduct legal research and provide administrative support for litigation and corporate governance projects.

Paralegal Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide paralegal support for legal matters, projects, and tasks under the supervision of the Legal Operations Manager.
  • Draft, format, and track contracts, ensuring compliance with review processes and procedures.
  • Maintain contract data hygiene, including lifecycle presets, effective dates, and notifications.
  • Support CLM implementation projects and update contract process training materials.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in litigation matters, claims, and lawsuits.
  • Organize and summarize legal materials, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Prepare draft correspondence and respond to stakeholders under attorney supervision.
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and perform other related responsibilities as required.

Paralegal Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
  • Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience with proficiency in contract management.
  • Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management systems, preferably Ironclad CLM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong research, writing, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
  • Notary public certification or willingness to obtain certification upon permanent placement.
  • Tech-savvy candidates preferred for leveraging technology in legal operations.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and adhere to organizational policies.
