Quality Improvement / Risk Management RN Overview

  • The Quality Improvement / Risk Management RN will oversee risk management and quality improvement initiatives within the healthcare organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Conduct audits, incident reviews, and assessments to enhance organizational safety and performance.
  • Develop and revise policies related to emergency preparedness and workplace safety.
  • Lead quality improvement meetings and monitor departmental outcomes and measures.
  • Coordinate annual reviews and updates of organizational forms and procedures.
  • Support fire and security drill testing initiatives to ensure compliance.

Quality Improvement / Risk Management RN Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as Risk Manager, supporting organizational risk management and compliance initiatives.
  • Audit medical records and conduct monthly quality and compliance audits.
  • Review incident reports and complaints, summarizing findings for leadership.
  • Assist in developing and revising policies related to safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Lead monthly quality improvement meetings and monitor departmental outcomes.
  • Coordinate quarterly outcome reporting and quality improvement assessments.

Quality Improvement / Risk Management RN Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in quality improvement and risk management processes.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, medical records, and vaccine programs.
  • Strong managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and meetings effectively.
