Portfolio Management Operations Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Support trade lifecycle processes across multiple asset classes, ensuring seamless execution and settlement.
  • Monitor daily trading workflows, investigating and resolving trade discrepancies and operational exceptions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external brokers to address operational challenges.
  • Assist with corporate actions, foreign exchange workflows, and portfolio implementation activities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve trade lifecycle discrepancies and identify process improvements.
  • Support testing and implementation of enhancements across trading and operational platforms.
  • Utilize Excel, SQL, and analytical tools to reconcile data and investigate production issues.
  • Participate in automation initiatives and contribute to documentation and testing of new functionalities.

Portfolio Management Operations Analyst Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in investment operations, trading support, or financial markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with Bloomberg Terminal and familiarity with trading platforms is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Preferred experience with SQL, Python, and exposure to asset classes like equities and derivatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage time-sensitive production events.
