Pharmacy Technician Overview
- The Pharmacy Technician role involves supporting medication counseling and adherence efforts remotely.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, and community partners to ensure effective medication management.
- Provide assistance in minimizing gaps in treatment and preventing medication-related adverse events.
- Facilitate member access to medications, including refills, new prescriptions, and financial assistance.
- Perform health assessments to identify barriers to medication adherence and propose solutions.
- Document care delivered and communicate relevant information to healthcare providers.
- Operate remotely during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5:30 PM.
- This position is open to entry-level candidates with a mature and proactive approach.
Pharmacy Technician Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review medication lists to eliminate barriers to therapy and ensure proper adherence.
- Facilitate member access to medications through refills, new prescriptions, and financial assistance.

Pharmacy Technician Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; 2 years preferred.
- Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician or registered/licensed Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions.
- Experience communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacists on medication-related issues.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with medication therapy management and adherence strategies.
- Proficiency in documenting care and communicating effectively with healthcare teams.
