• The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison will manage escalated cases impacting prescription fulfillment at specialty pharmacies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and specialty pharmacies to ensure efficient communication and process improvement.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on specialty pharmacy processes, electronic data exchanges, and data aggregator systems.
• Analyze specialty pharmacy performance and identify opportunities for operational enhancements.
• Support patient services hub programs by managing escalations and ensuring timely prescription fulfillment.
• Document call details and follow-up actions accurately within the patient database.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specialty pharmacies and data aggregator vendors.
• Adhere to compliance requirements and standard operating procedures.

Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop relationships with internal teams and vendors to address specialty pharmacy trends and issues.
• Understand and manage electronic data exchange requirements and patient database metrics.
• Monitor specialty pharmacy performance and escalate concerns to management.
• Provide support for patient services hub programs and vendors.
• Document interactions and maintain data integrity for business analysis.
• Collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups to address prescription fulfillment barriers.
• Participate in field rides, site visits, and sales meetings as needed.
• Support operational hours flexibility to ensure program coverage.

Specialty Pharmacy Liaison Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a background in pharmaceutical operations or reimbursement hubs.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in specialty pharmacy operations or reimbursement hub support.
• Proficiency in electronic data exchanges and specialty pharmacy metrics.
• Knowledge of health plan reimbursement requirements for specialty injectable products.
• Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 5% for field rides and site visits.
