- The Medical Records Audit Coordinator role focuses on supporting healthcare audit initiatives remotely.
- Coordinate medical record retrieval and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze audit data and create reports.
- Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations to summarize findings.
- Collaborate with departments to enhance clinical quality and documentation processes.
- Work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, on a 6-month contract basis.
- Ensure timely execution of RADV and HEDIS healthcare audit initiatives.
- Prevent delays in chart reviews and submissions to CMS.

Medical Records Audit Coordinator Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Request medical records for enrollees selected for RADV audits.
- Analyze audit data using advanced Excel functions like pivot tables and vlookup.
- Create comprehensive reports and PowerPoint presentations.
- Coordinate audit assignments and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure medical records are accurately scanned and saved in the system.
- Support clinical quality and documentation initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to execute regulatory audits and projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support audit processes.
Medical Records Audit Coordinator Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; certifications like RHIT, RHIA, CMA preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or audit-related roles.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and PowerPoint presentation creation.
- Experience with RADV, Risk Adjustment, and HEDIS healthcare audit initiatives.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records request processes.
- Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work remotely and adhere to a structured schedule.
