Accounts Receivable Representative Overview

  • The Accounts Receivable Representative role focuses on resident account management and lease administration in a hybrid work environment.
  • Ensure accurate records, timely communication, and exceptional customer service throughout the resident lifecycle.
  • Process move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and security deposit transactions with precision and compliance.
  • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including billing, payment discrepancies, and returned checks.
  • Collaborate with residents to resolve account-related inquiries efficiently and professionally.

Accounts Receivable Representative Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide high-quality customer service via email and phone, ensuring timely and polite resolution of inquiries.
  • Perform lease administration tasks, including processing move-ins, move-outs, and renewals accurately and promptly.
  • Execute vacate procedures within regulatory timeframes, applying charges and issuing refunds appropriately.
  • Manage security deposit transactions, ensuring reconciliation between banking and operating systems.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, including verification letters and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Utilize analytical skills to interpret data and solve complex tenant ledger issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Accounts Receivable Representative Job Requirements

  • Associate of Arts (AA) degree required, with a focus on business or related fields preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tenant accounts receivable; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with real estate operating systems such as Yardi or MRI is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address tenant ledger adjustments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective resident interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
