Job Description

Divisional CFO Overview

  • The Divisional CFO will oversee financial operations for a dynamic and expanding division within the client organization.
  • Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to support growth initiatives and operational excellence.
  • Provide leadership in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations, ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to drive profitability and efficiency through actionable financial insights.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, accounts payable, and receivable operations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on lease accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 standards.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with divisional growth.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the division as a key member of the management team.
  • Drive impactful financial strategies for a new acquisition, enhancing operational and financial integration.

Divisional CFO Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and lead monthly business reviews, presenting financial insights and variance analysis to stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to optimize liquidity and working capital.
  • Conduct variance analysis against budgets, collaborating with leaders to address performance deviations.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Supervise month-end close processes, including revenue recognition and balance sheet reviews.
  • Oversee treasury operations, ensuring timely payments and effective collections.
  • Manage lease accounting processes, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting under ASC 842.
  • Lead annual budgeting and long-range financial planning, driving accountability and growth.
  • Mentor finance team members, fostering professional development and operational excellence.

Divisional CFO Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience; 3+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and ASC 842 standards.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in high-growth environments with dynamic priorities.
  • Strong communication skills to convey financial insights to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
