Job Description

Registered Nurse Overview

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse practitioner in a clinical setting.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous immunizations including COVID, TDap, MMR, Varicella, Meningitis, HPV, flu, and Hepatitis B vaccines.
  • Ensure compliance with vaccination protocols and maintain accurate documentation of immunization records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver quality care and ensure patient safety during immunization clinics.
  • Work on-site at designated clinic locations during scheduled dates and times.
  • Utilize recent experience in administering a wide range of vaccinations to support clinic operations effectively.
  • Provide proof of immunity and comply with health and safety requirements including recent TB testing.
  • Contribute to the success of immunization programs by ensuring high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous immunizations to patients as per clinic schedules and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed immunization records and patient documentation.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Adhere to state and federal health regulations and clinic policies during immunization procedures.
  • Provide patient education regarding vaccination benefits and address any concerns or questions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proof of immunity and TB testing requirements.
  • Assist in setting up and managing clinic operations, including equipment and supplies.
  • Support the clinic team in delivering high-quality care and achieving program goals.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience administering a wide range of vaccinations.
  • Proficiency in intramuscular and subcutaneous immunization techniques.
  • Proof of immunity for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccinations is required.
  • Recent Tuberculosis (TB) test results within the past 3 months are mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work on-site at designated clinic locations during scheduled hours.
