• The Asbestos Project Manager oversees asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop competitive cost estimates and proposals for asbestos abatement and related services.
• Collaborate with clients to understand project scope and ensure satisfaction throughout project execution.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations.
• Monitor project profitability, job costing, and adherence to schedules.
• Manage staffing, materials, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, and other stakeholders.
• Leverage your expertise in asbestos abatement and hazardous materials management.

Asbestos Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Generate new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare competitive cost estimates for asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects.
• Develop and finalize proposals and contracts for client approval.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling and staffing.
• Partner with field supervisors to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
• Monitor project profitability, job costing, and schedule adherence.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable safety regulations.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor management, and cost control measures.

Asbestos Project Manager Job Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of estimating or project management experience in construction or related industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Strong client-facing communication and business development skills.
• Experience with contract administration, budgeting, and cost control.
• Preferred asbestos abatement project management experience and hazardous materials background.
• Existing relationships with general contractors, property managers, and government agencies.
• Maryland, DC, or Virginia asbestos licenses/certifications preferred.
