Operations Specialist Overview

  • The Operations Specialist supports comprehensive trade processing across global and domestic markets, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate seamless trade settlements and confirmations for diverse financial products.
  • Maintain client static data and commission schedules, ensuring up-to-date information for global market operations.
  • Perform daily reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure operational integrity.
  • Assist in onboarding new client accounts, including sub-accounts and managed funds, enhancing client service capabilities.
  • Participate in system testing and enhancements, contributing to operational efficiency and technological improvements.
  • Provide general operational support, ensuring smooth daily workflows and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Operations Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process timely and accurate trade allocations and bookings using industry-standard platforms and manual workflows.
  • Support domestic and international trades, ensuring proper delivery and settlement across multiple platforms.
  • Deliver trade confirmations to clients, maintaining accuracy and timeliness for all financial products.
  • Monitor trade processes from booking to settlement, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain client static data, including settlement instructions and commission schedules, for global market operations.
  • Perform reconciliations to identify and resolve operational discrepancies, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist in client onboarding processes, enhancing account management and operational workflows.
  • Create and track system tickets for process issues, contributing to operational improvements.

Operations Specialist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, middle office, settlements, or trade support roles.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in relevant operational functions within financial services.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration and client interactions.
  • Series 7 or SIE and Series 99 certifications preferred; must obtain required licenses within three months of hire.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with industry-standard platforms and reconciliation processes is highly desirable.
