Network Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and operate modern datacenter fabrics using advanced networking technologies like EVPN/VXLAN and BGP.
• Engineer high-performance network systems supporting market connectivity and critical production applications.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python and APIs.
• Optimize network performance through telemetry, packet analysis, and performance instrumentation.
• Define and enforce network security standards, including segmentation and encrypted transport.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure seamless integration and robust security measures.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance network resiliency and scalability.
• Provide production support and drive improvements in reliability and operational excellence.

Network Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in designing and operating IP networks, including BGP, OSPF, and EVPN/VXLAN.
• Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
• Strong understanding of network security architectures and Zero Trust principles.
• Preferred experience in low-latency network infrastructure within financial services or high-performance computing.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies and drive architectural improvements.
