• The Materials Engineer will focus on material development and process improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with production leaders to address scrap, line efficiency, and downtime issues.

Materials Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Analyze material properties and their impact on manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement material improvement strategies to enhance product quality.
• Conduct trials for new materials and processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address operational challenges.
• Monitor manufacturing floor activities to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports on material performance and process outcomes.
• Support new product launches by ensuring material readiness and reliability.
• Engage in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in material applications.

Materials Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably with material focus.
• Proven expertise in material development and process improvement strategies.
• Strong technical knowledge of material properties and their applications.
• Experience working with anti-fog applications and solar panel materials preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Proficiency in conducting material trials and analyzing results.
