    Midtown-based law firm is seeking a temporary Receptionist to join their team.

Job Description

Hours: Monday- Wednesday: 4 pm – midnight, Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 4 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of and exhibit professionalism in executing duties associated with Client and Visitor Services, Conference, and Reception desks. Create and sustain a professional and inviting atmosphere for Firm attorneys, staff, clients, and visitors. Strive for excellence in managing responsibilities related to these areas, following established team leadership decisions.
  • Coordinate visitor arrivals, greetings, announcements, and necessary coordination. Uphold safety protocols by promptly reporting any unusual behavior or unauthorized individuals.
  • Answer and direct incoming/internal calls professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive caller experience.
  • Manage all requests promptly and professionally, aiming to surpass expectations whenever feasible.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource and provide assistance to internal clients, resolving issues or escalating them as needed.
  • Maintain the ability to assist attorneys and clients with travel, transportation, and hotel reservations as required.
  • Ensure visiting attorneys' rooms are appropriately set up and serve as the primary contact for their needs.
  • Coordinate daily requirements for rooms, equipment, supplies, catering, and personnel. Ensure proper preparation, cleaning, and rotation of rooms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a service role within a law firm or similar environment, preferably in legal or hospitality sectors.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with active listening and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle diverse personalities in high-pressure situations, maintaining a composed and patient demeanor.
  • Exhibit strong initiative, excellent judgment, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
