Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Preparing budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Publishing monthly financial statements
- Assisting in investment decision making
- Managing tax filings for local, state, and federal government
- Reviewing documentation attached to checks for accuracy and approval
- Supervising the company's accounting processes and operations, including invoicing, cost accounting, inventory records, and more
- Preparing workpapers for outside accounting firm on annual audit and tax return prep
- Monitoring variances, summarizing trends, and investigating budget deficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum of both accounting and finance experience
- CPA or CMA preferred
- Advanced degree in accounting
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and databases
- Highly proficient in cost analyses
- Ability to critically evaluate, identify and effectively resolve accounting staff's routine problems
