Job Description

Title: Legal Recruiting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Summer Associate Program Management: Oversee law student recruiting processes and summer programs, maintain relationships with key law schools, lead recruiting events, and manage all aspects of the summer associate experience.
  • Lateral Associate Recruiting: Develop strategies for lateral hiring, including drafting job descriptions, managing the recruitment process, and overseeing onboarding. Build relationships with external recruiters and internal stakeholders to align recruitment with firm needs.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Supervise recruiting staff, ensuring effective team operations and professional growth. Work closely with HR and legal personnel teams to enhance recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives: Collaborate with the Director of Diversity & Inclusion to recruit diverse talent and ensure their successful integration and retention within the firm.
  • Process Improvement and Collaboration: Work on integrating efficient recruiting practices, maintaining communication with all stakeholders involved, and participating in HR projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal recruiting within a law firm setting.
  • Strong understanding of the legal recruitment market and proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment cycles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with candidates, law schools, and firm leadership.
  • High level of discretion and judgment, particularly in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with recruitment databases and technologies.
