Job Description

Summary:

This Design/Build general contractor is looking for someone to join their growing interiors division. Their average project size is $1-2M but perform work anywhere from $50K-6M and 8-10K SF.

Seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Manager specializing in interiors to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple commercial interior construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget. This role requires exceptional leadership, technical knowledge, and communication skills to drive successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Lead the planning and execution of interior construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to finalize project scopes and schedules.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Oversee project teams, including site superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven project environment.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and challenges effectively.

Budget and Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Review and approve invoices, change orders, and project costs.
  • Regularly report on financial performance and manage risks to profitability.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open and proactive communication.
  • Provide regular progress updates, addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
  • Drive a culture of safety, conducting regular on-site inspections and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of project management experience with oversight of projects from inception to completion
  • Corporate Interiors experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, materials, and practices.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with tenant improvement (TI) projects and corporate office fit-outs is a plus.
