Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Privacy and Security rules outlined in the HIPAA
- Successfully completes the mandatory three-day HHC
- Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and
- Perform thorough physical therapy evaluations utilizing appropriate
- Discuss patient treatment and specific problems with PT supervisory
- Performs appropriate treatment involving therapeutic exercise, manual therapy
- Keeps accurate records of patient evaluations, progress, recommendations, and
- Attends rounds and clinics appropriate to the area
- Keeps daily attendance record of
- Educates patient and/or family regarding the physical therapy aspects of diagnosis, treatment plan and prognosis in an appropriate
- Establishes measurable, realistic goals based on the needs and age of 12.
- Participates in clinical teaching as a clinical instructor for PT students.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the patients in both an oral and written fashion
- Demonstrates commitment to continued professional growth.
- All other duties as required by the department.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to hire
