Job Description
A leading organization in New York City is seeking a Senior Specialist for Internal Communications to develop and manage internal communication strategies aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and fostering a strong company culture.
Pay Rate: $55-65 per hour (depending on experience)
Duration: 8–12 months, with potential for extension or contract-to-hire
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies to support company-wide operational changes
- Work closely with senior leaders to craft communication for employees, including messaging for people managers and impacted teams
- Create clear and engaging documents, emails, FAQs, and other communication materials to keep employees informed and aligned with organizational goals
- Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices for effective internal communication
- Ensure consistent and transparent messaging throughout the organization, maintaining alignment with leadership’s vision
- Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to communicate company policies, processes, and important updates
- Assist in planning and implementing communication strategies to support organizational transformation and improve internal engagement
Requirements:
- 10–15 years of experience in internal communications, ideally within a corporate or agency environment
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and compelling communication materials
- Ability to engage and work effectively with senior leaders and people managers
- Proven experience in both hands-on work and strategic planning for internal communications
- Strong listening skills and the ability to understand and convey complex information in a clear, approachable manner
