Clinical Coordinator, RN – Medical-Surgical Unit Leadership Opportunity

Position Overview

A prestigious healthcare facility is seeking a Clinical Coordinator RN for their busy Medical-Surgical Unit. This impactful leadership role combines clinical expertise with management responsibilities in a supportive, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic nursing professional able to provide shift supervision and coordinate daily operations for a dedicated care team while managing the unique challenges of a diverse medical-surgical patient population.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee daily departmental operations in collaboration with Service Line Director and unit Manager

• Provide clinical leadership and expertise to nursing staff

• Coordinate and maintain balanced staffing schedules based on patient acuity

• Serve as a valuable resource and liaison between staff and family members

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards

• Foster and lead interdisciplinary collaborative relationships with physicians, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals

• Coordinate comprehensive care planning and execution across multiple disciplines

• Facilitate effective communication between various healthcare specialties

• Model excellence in patient care and service delivery

• Contribute to unit leadership at a high level of proficiency

• Support staff development and quality improvement initiatives

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing preferred

• Membership in professional nursing organization preferred
