Job Description

Title: Senior Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of detailed business cases, including problem definition, financial justification, and benefit analysis
  • Translate business strategies into clear and actionable requirements, aligned with project and program goals
  • Conduct discovery sessions and facilitate strategic alignment across stakeholder groups
  • Develop requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technical and business teams
  • Drive benefit realization plans and requirement traceability throughout project lifecycles
  • Provide JIRA oversight, including configuration of boards, dashboards, and reporting functions
  • Partner with technology teams using SCRUM and Kanban methodologies to deliver iterative work packages
  • Present findings and insights to executive stakeholders with clarity and professionalism
  • Support project managers with risk assessment, vendor analysis, and compliance alignment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience
  • 10+ years of experience in the banking industry, with deep subject matter knowledge across key areas (e.g., retail, commercial, wealth management)
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis roles
  • Advanced proficiency with JIRA for managing complex project boards and reporting dashboards
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, SWOT, and gap analysis techniques
  • Experience developing business cases with both qualitative and quantitative justification (e.g., NPV modeling)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

Preferred Experience

  • Consulting background strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Visio and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working within a formal Business Transformation Office or PMO structure
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in financial services
  • Ability to switch between high-level strategic thinking and tactical execution
