Construction Superintendent – Ground-Up Commercial
📍 Greater Indianapolis, IN
A leading and employee-owned commercial contractor in the Indianapolis area is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee ground-up projects ranging from $20M to $50M+. This individual will play a critical role in jobsite leadership- ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence- while fostering strong collaboration among project teams, trade partners, and clients.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead all field operations on ground-up projects ranging from $5M to $50M+
- Manage jobsite safety, schedule, quality control, and subcontractor coordination
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance standards
- Oversee subcontractor preconstruction meetings and site layout verification
- Order and coordinate delivery of materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain organized, up-to-date onsite documentation and records
- Serve as the main liaison between field operations and the project manager, architect, and owner
- Identify potential risk areas and ensure safe, high-quality delivery across every phase of the project
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or General Foreman on large-scale commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of wood frame, steel, and metal stud construction methods
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, solve problems in the field, and maintain an efficient jobsite
- Experience using construction software such as Procore, BlueBeam, SmartSheets, and Excel
- High School diploma or GED required (Construction Management or trade school background a plus)
