Director of Nursing – Post Care Cardiac & Acute Stroke

We’re partnering with a respected, mission-driven healthcare organization in South Texas to find a seasoned nurse leader for a Director of Nursing position overseeing Acute Stroke and Post-Cardiac Care services. This is a high-impact, visible leadership role ideal for a clinical operations expert ready to influence patient outcomes across multiple specialty units.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

Lead and develop a skilled team of nurses delivering high-acuity, post-cardiac and stroke care

Partner with hospital leadership to optimize workflows, staffing, and patient throughput

Champion clinical excellence, patient safety, and evidence-based practice

Help shape long-term service line goals and performance improvement initiatives

Cultivate a culture of accountability, growth, and shared purpose

✅ What They’re Looking For

Active RN license (or ability to obtain in Texas or a compact state)

BSN required; MSN or a master’s in a healthcare-related field preferred

At least 2 years of progressive management experience in an acute care hospital setting

Strong clinical background in cardiac, stroke, or critical care services

AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

Effective communicator and relationship-builder with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams
