Job Description
Field Support Technician (Level 1) – Long Island MSP
We’re a rapidly expanding IT services company based on Long Island, delivering tech support and consulting to clients across multiple industries. We’re on the lookout for a Level 1 Field Support Technician who enjoys being hands-on, solving tech issues, and providing top-notch service on the go.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP systems.
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues involving Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and network connectivity.
- Handle routine system maintenance, hardware setups, and cable terminations.
- Keep detailed records of your work in our ticketing platform (e.g., ConnectWise).
- Travel regularly to client sites throughout Long Island and NYC.
What You Should Bring:
- At least 1 year of experience in IT support or help desk (MSP background is a plus).
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Strong communication skills and a knack for problem-solving.
- A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
Bonus Points For:
- Familiarity with RMM tools, Active Directory, and backup solutions.
- Certifications like CompTIA A+ or Network+.
