Job Description
Job Overview:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR processes and be able to provide effective solutions to both employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes (resume screening, interviewing, offer letters).
- Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Provide guidance on employee policies, work environment, and dispute resolution.
- Foster a positive work culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
- Performance Management:
- Assist with performance appraisal systems and help managers in conducting evaluations.
- Support the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Benefits & Compensation:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, retirement, etc.
- Assist in the management of compensation programs and payroll.
- Stay updated on benefits trends and changes in legislation.
- Compliance & Policy:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
- Assist in updating employee handbooks and HR policies.
- Keep abreast of any changes in labor laws and regulations.
- Training & Development:
- Coordinate training sessions and employee development programs.
- Promote professional growth and career advancement opportunities.
- Employee Records:
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Health and Safety:
- Support workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist or in a similar role.
- Certifications: PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certifications preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
