    A mid-size law firm is looking for a Legal Marketing and BD Specialist. This role offers a hybrid schedule with an excellent work-life balance.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize client events: Plan and manage jointly-hosted initiatives, CLE seminars, and networking events.
  • Develop marketing materials: Create pitches, RFP responses, and presentations, and follow up with key attorneys.
  • Support business development: Track opportunities, assist individual attorneys and practice groups, and monitor progress.
  • Prepare submissions: Draft directory and award submissions for practice and industry group rankings.
  • Collaborate on content: Work with the MBD team to produce marketing materials, web content, attorney bios, practice descriptions, and firm achievements.
  • Identify opportunities: Conduct research to find cross-selling opportunities and leverage potential business from current and prospective clients.
  • Communicate with attorneys: Regularly follow up on opportunities and encourage internal knowledge sharing within the practice(s) and the broader MBD team.
  • Demonstrate CRM tool usage: Serve as a role model for using the CRM tool in business development.
  • Participate in firm-wide projects: Collaborate with MBD leadership on various initiatives.
  • Contribute to department initiatives: Help improve overall marketing and business development functions.
  • Perform additional duties: As assigned or required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing or business development within a law firm.
  • Business development skills: Proven ability to effectively identify opportunities.
  • Project management: Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills.
  • Goal-oriented: Ability to define, prioritize, and achieve goals.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Technical proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Team player: Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
