What You'll Do as Surgery Nurse Manager

As the Surgery Nurse Manager, you'll provide dynamic leadership for our busy surgical department, managing operations across 10 operating rooms while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You'll work alongside skilled surgical teams in a fast-paced trauma environment where your expertise makes a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of 10 operating rooms in a Level II Trauma Center
  • Lead and mentor a team of perioperative nurses and surgical technicians
  • Coordinate surgical schedules and resource allocation for optimal efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols and quality standards
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee staff development, training, and performance management
  • Manage departmental budgets and supply chain for surgical services
  • Support trauma response protocols and emergency surgical procedures

What We're Looking For

Education & Licensure:

  • Current RN license in good standing
  • BSN preferred (we welcome ASN graduates with experience)
  • CNOR certification preferred but not required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Experience & Skills:

  • Nursing leadership or management experience preferred
  • Operating room and perioperative nursing background
  • Experience in trauma or acute care environments welcomed
  • Strong communication and team leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures and OR protocols
  • Budget management and resource planning skills
