Job Description

Our client is a mission-driven architecture firm with a focus on community-impact projects is seeking a Project Architect to join their collaborative studio. The firm’s work spans a wide range of project types—including academic, civic, multifamily housing, and institutional—and is known for delivering responsive, technically sound, and design-forward solutions.

Position Overview:

The Project Architect will lead project teams from schematic design through construction, with a strong emphasis on documentation, consultant coordination, and public sector project delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to creating thoughtful, context-sensitive architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of design and technical documentation across all project phases
  • Oversee coordination with engineering consultants, client representatives, and agency officials
  • Guide junior staff and support project planning, QA/QC, and internal scheduling
  • Attend client meetings and contribute to presentations, stakeholder engagement, and design strategy
  • Support construction administration including RFI responses, submittal review, and site visits
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, standards, and public agency requirements

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • 6+ years of professional experience, including demonstrated experience as a Project Architect
  • Strong proficiency in Revit; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam is a plus
  • Deep understanding of building codes, detailing, and construction documentation
  • Exposure to public bid projects (municipal, academic, or institutional) is required
  • Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills
