Nurse Manager – Medical ICU

We’re partnering with a highly respected hospital in the Austin area seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Medical ICU (MICU). This is a fantastic opportunity for an ICU nurse leader to step into a visible and impactful role within a collaborative and high-acuity environment.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the Medical ICU, including staffing, quality, and compliance

Provide direct and ongoing supervision, coaching, and development of ICU staff

Ensure high standards of care through rounding, auditing, and staff accountability

Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff on process improvements

Maintain departmental alignment with hospital mission and performance goals

Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care delivery

✅ Requirements

BSN required from an accredited school of nursing

Current RN license in Texas (or compact)

BLS and ACLS certifications required

2+ years of leadership experience in an acute care ICU setting

Strong understanding of critical care workflows, compliance, and staff development
