Job Description

A financial institution in New York City is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Learning Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the financial services industry.

Must have L&D experience in a professional services or financial environment to be considered.

Hybrid schedule: 3–4 days onsite per week

Salary range: $90K–$100K

Hours: Standard business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver learning programs using various formats including in-person, virtual, and eLearning
  • Facilitate engaging workshops, seminars, and training sessions across employee levels
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to all training content
  • Evaluate training outcomes and integrate feedback into future learning initiatives
  • Partner with internal teams and subject matter experts to identify learning needs
  • Maintain training calendars and coordinate logistics with department stakeholders
  • Oversee development and updates of all training materials including guides, handouts, and job aids
  • Manage content and user setup within the learning management system (LMS)
  • Conduct assessments and surveys to measure knowledge retention and training effectiveness
  • Support other special projects and initiatives related to employee development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years in a corporate training or learning and development role
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills; excellent communicator
  • Financial services or credit union experience preferred
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and online authoring tools is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
  • Technologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to travel locally within NYC as needed
  • High integrity, reliability, and strong attention to detail
