Job Description

Title: Contracts Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Draft, revise, and finalize various commercial agreements, including but not limited to MSAs, SOWs, vendor service contracts, equipment maintenance and rental agreements
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring alignment with internal procedures and business objectives
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external vendors, securing feedback, facilitating approvals, and ensuring timely progression of contractual matters
  • Proactively track deadlines and contract milestones, coordinating follow-ups and renewals as needed
  • Respond to incoming contract intake requests, escalate legal concerns when necessary, and provide independent recommendations
  • Assess contractual risk exposure and advise on necessary modifications during negotiations
  • Maintain and update records within the contract management system (Agiloft)
  • Support the development of contracting process improvements, including policy documentation and workflow standardization
  • Provide occasional training to internal teams on contract handling best practices
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other legal staff to drive operational efficiency within the Legal department
  • Handle data entry, general administrative support, and other ad hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in contract review, negotiation, and management, ideally in a corporate legal or procurement-focused environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in redlining and contract language analysis
  • Familiarity with sourcing/vendor contract structures and corporate procurement workflows
  • Strong working knowledge of full contract lifecycle processes and terminology
  • Previous experience using contract management platforms (Agiloft strongly preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
  • High level of independence and initiative; able to prioritize tasks without supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and related productivity tools
