Litigation Paralegal

Job Description
Key Paralegal Responsibilities
- Conduct legal and factual research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Bloomberg Law, AlphaSense, and other research platforms
- Proofread, cite-check, and fact-check legal filings including briefs, complaints, and other key documents
- Prepare, finalize, and file a wide range of legal documents
- Assist with retrieving relevant rules, regulations, and case law as needed
- Organize and maintain case files and reference materials
- Support preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings, including scheduling with outside counsel and vendors, and assembling exhibits
- Accurately track and record time entries using iTimeKeep
Key Office Administration Duties
- Act as the primary liaison with building management, security, and vendors; coordinate visitor access, maintenance, and repairs
- Greet clients and visitors, manage incoming phone calls, and handle mail and packages
- Prepare shipping labels (UPS/FedEx) and manage outgoing shipments; assist with printing and binding requests
- Serve as the first point of contact for office equipment or technology issues, working closely with centralized IT support and/or external vendors
- Order and manage inventory of office and kitchen supplies
- Ensure common areas—including the office, conference room, and storage areas—remain clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Maintain kitchen facilities and amenities, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
- Coordinate office meals for meetings or attorney requests, including placing/picking up orders, setup, and cleanup
- Assist in onboarding new hires in coordination with the Managing Director of HR
- Plan and coordinate office events, birthday celebrations, and other team-building activities
- Provide general administrative support and take on special projects as needed to meet evolving office demands
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, plus 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm (securities litigation experience is a plus, as is Class Action experience)
- Experience with e-filing or assisting in e-filing in federal district courts
- Solid experience and skills performing cite checking and Bluebooking
- Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, and other court and news-related sources
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills
- Strong proofreading and grammar skills along with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Effectively able to organize and prioritize work, and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Strong word processing and computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- The ability and willingness to work overtime to meet business needs, as needed
- Occasional flexibility with shifting work hours (i.e. beginning early or staying late, separate from overtime), if business needs require
