Job Description

A regional health system with 10+ locations in dynamic Indiana seeks an experienced Surgical Services Nurse RN Manager to be an integral member of their leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Surgical Services Nurse RN Manager to be an influential change agent.

Job Responsibilities

This active service line features 4 Operating Rooms and performs diverse orthopedic procedures.

The Surgical Services Nurse RN Manager is responsible for shaping strategic growth, staff engagement, and clinical outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

·        Provide daily operational and clinical oversight of all perioperative services, including Pre-op, Operating Room, and PACU

·        Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a strong team of 50+ clinical and support staff

·        Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and surgical outcomes

·        Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA)

·        Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and supply management

·        Monitor budgets and support cost-effective practices

·        Develop process improvement initiatives related to workflow, scheduling, and clinical outcomes

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal Surgical Services Nurse RN Manager has:

·        Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required

·        CNOR certification

·        Minimum 5 years of perioperative nursing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

·        Strong knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative best practices

·        Proven track record of leading clinical outcome improvements using evidence-based practices
