Job Description

Title: Membership Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead membership processing activities, including renewals, chapter billing, supply requests, and data entry
  • Coordinate and manage the annual dues billing cycle across multiple chapters and divisions
  • Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling member payments and chapter tallies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to membership, billing, and renewals
  • Generate reports for internal teams and support communication efforts tied to membership status
  • Administer and troubleshoot membership database issues; extract data for reporting and outreach
  • Train and supervise volunteers or temps assisting during high-volume periods
  • Provide logistical support for the annual convention, including verifying voting eligibility and supporting on-site event operations
  • Assist with incoming/outgoing mail and occasional donation entry
  • Contribute to broader administrative tasks and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in membership operations, customer service, or nonprofit administration
  • Prior experience handling dues reconciliation and chapter/member billing cycles
  • Strong command of database systems (iMIS highly preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail, comfort with math/accounting basics, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable working with chapter leaders, members, and volunteers
  • Must be willing to travel and work additional hours to support annual events such as the national convention
