Paralegal
in Professional Services PermanentJob Detail
Job Description
Our small but fast-paced legal team is looking for detail-oriented, highly responsive Paralegal with a general corporate background and contract management. This role is heavily focused on contracts —drafting, reviewing, and managing a high volume of agreements, often on tight deadlines. Under the leadership of our lead transactional counsel, this person will work closely with internal business teams to support a broad range of transactional matters, helping ensure agreements are properly structured and risks are managed.
Beyond day-to-day contract work this role will also support broader legal initiatives, including template updates, IP asset tracking, contract and vendor tracking, and process improvements. This role will also include the opportunity to attend regular meetings with business teams and help ensure follow-through on legal and contractual obligations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment, is comfortable juggling urgent priorities, and enjoys working directly with business teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Draft, review, and revise a very high volume of contracts across various categories, including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, event agreements, and software/technology licenses
•Handle urgent contract requests with tight turnaround times while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
•Work closely with internal business teams to translate business needs into clear, practical contract language and escalate key risks as needed
•Support contract lifecycle management, including tracking key dates, amendments, and renewals
•Assist in developing and maintaining contract templates and playbooks for common agreements
•Manage longer-term legal projects, including updating contract templates, tracking intellectual property assets, maintaining contract/vendor inventories, and improving legal processes
•Attend meetings with business teams, synthesize key takeaways, and track follow-up actions related to legal and contractual matters
•Assist in due diligence related to transactions
•Provide general support to the legal team on transactional matters and special projects
QUALIFICATIONS
•3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm with a focus on transactional work (contract drafting experience is essential)
•Proven ability to manage a high volume of contracts with accuracy and efficiency
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with business teams under tight deadlines
•Exceptional organizational and time management skills—must be comfortable juggling multiple high-priority contracts while also managing longer-term projects
•Proficiency in Word, comparison software, contract management systems, and Excel required
•Proficiency in legal research tools is a plus
