Job Description
An award-winning, full-service hospital located along Florida’s Gulf Coast is seeking an experienced ICU Nurse Manager to join its critical care leadership team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with competitive pay and a strong benefits package.
About the Role:
As one of two Nurse Managers within a 40+ bed ICU department, you’ll oversee daily clinical operations, manage staffing and throughput, and work closely with a supportive Director to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. This hospital is a designated trauma center with a diverse critical care population—neuro, surgical, trauma, cardiac, and respiratory.
You’ll lead a large, collaborative team that includes experienced RNs, new grads, nurse externs, and support staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader ready to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support clinical nursing teams within the ICU
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based care and regulatory standards
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and high-quality outcomes
- Collaborate across departments for effective patient care and throughput
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources to meet patient needs
- Support growth, training, and development of team members
Schedule:
- Mixed shift rotation (day and PM)
- Weekend coverage is rotated among leadership team
Qualifications:
- RN License (Florida or compact)
- ACLS and BLS required
- Recent acute care leadership experience in critical care required:
- Charge RN (5+ years, not relief charge)
- Supervisor (3+ years)
- Manager (2+ years)
- ADN accepted if actively enrolled in a BSN program; BSN preferred
Additional Details:
- Large, regional medical center with 330+ licensed beds
- ICU team includes over 130 staff members across two towers
- Reports to Director of Critical Care
- Salary range: $95K–$110K, depending on experience
- Relocation assistance offered case by case
