Job Description
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development is responsible for developing and implementing new growth strategies and a comprehensive business development plan that will increase revenues and profits for existing and new lines of business. The SVP will target company growth, secure new contracts and explore new opportunities with existing and new Health Plans for the LCHSA and Care Management businesses.

Qualifications:
1. Educational: Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in a business or health related field.
2. Travel: Travel may be required for business purposes. If so, the employee must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which they work and a satisfactory driving record.
3. Work Experience:
a. A minimum of five years of home health care work experience with a Licensed Home Care Service Agency, Certified Home Health Agency, Long Term Home Health Care Program, Hospice Program, or other home care provider as defined by particular state regulations. The person must have served in a position that required administrative, operational, program development and supervisor responsibilities.
b. Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan and marketing strategy.
c. Must maintain health care marketing experience.
d. Ability to use computerized systems.
e. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
f. Ability to work well under pressure.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements, with JCAHO / CHAP experience preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide direction and oversight to all members of the Business Development team through the development of both a marketing and sales strategy and a corresponding implementation plan for all contract wins or expanded program opportunities in both new and existing states. Analyze all of the company’s / region’s service areas to determine new market targets and build target presentations to effectively communicate the return on investment for all target audiences through proposals and presentations and ensure implementation plans are developed in accordance with new contract requirements.
2. Establish contractual relationships for Health Plans, MLTC/MLTSS, MCOs, ACOs, Medicare Advantage Plans, State Programs, and other contract sources for all of the Company’s operational segments in both new and existing markets.
3. Set operating structure of Business Development Department; review and revise job descriptions of marketing reps, set regional responsibilities and establish a tracking format to monitor activities and follow-up.
4. Assist in the implementation of Premier’s Long Term Managed Care Program with primary responsibility for enrollment.
5. Establish industry relationships build contacts to explore potential growth opportunities through Mergers and/or Acquisitions in the Licensed and Care Management businesses.
6. Develop and implement private pay marketing strategies and associated budgets by selected private pay target markets.
7. Establish large market strategies with heavy emphasis on New York City, New Jersey, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk; and small market strategies in Florida (Palm Beach and Naples), Massachusetts, Illinois, North Carolina and Connecticut.
8. Develop and implement specialty program marketing or training strategies and associated budgets for selected target need markets in conjunction with Operations.
9. Conduct marketing activities related to project development; and teach private pay marketing strategies and specialty program marketing strategies to Marketing Reps, Regional VPs and Office Administration.
10. Establish a list of Long Term Care Insurance, Geriatric Care Management companies and Assisted Living chains.
11. Review reports, identify trend data or changes in data by region and location, and provide summary and recommendations to the Executive team.
12. Assist in continued review; revision and enhancement to the contact strategy format for existing referral sources and assist in assuring that QA/PI, training, incidents/complaints are folded into the contact strategy format.

14. Adhere to all applicable Federal, State and local regulations, as well as contract requirements and JCAHO standards.
15. Participate as member of Regional QI team.
16. Conduct related home care research as requested relative to project development. 17. Ensures all HIPAA requirements are followed.
18. Follow all Agency policies and procedures.
19. All other duties as assigned.
