We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pediatric Emergency Services to lead a dedicated Pediatric ED team in a high-performing acute care hospital in Houston, TX. This is an opportunity to shape pediatric emergency care in a facility with a strong reputation for excellence and a full range of specialty services.

Lead a 10-bed Pediatric ED with ~40K annual visits

Oversee a dedicated team of ~42 FTEs, including Clinical Nurse Coordinators

Report directly to the VP of Emergency Services and help elevate pediatric emergency care to the next level

🩺 What You’ll Do

Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Pediatric Emergency Department

Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering engagement and accountability

Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Drive improvements in patient care delivery, throughput, and experience

Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, family-centered care

Support the recruitment, retention, and professional development of your team

Align department goals with hospital-wide initiatives and clinical excellence standards

📚 What You Bring

BSN required

3+ years of recent acute care Pediatric ED Manager-level experience

Proven success leading teams and driving measurable improvement in a pediatric emergency care setting

Strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills to build trust and motivate your team
