About the Team and the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our Finance team in a support role. This position will provide direct assistance to the Accounts Payable and broader Finance functions, playing a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of invoices for payment, ensuring proper approvals and documentation are in place
  • Enter reimbursement checks for legal and non-legal staff
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Prepare check and wire transfer requests using Excel templates
  • Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analyses
  • Assist in the preparation of the firm’s annual budget
  • Reconcile vendor statements and bank accounts
  • Communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
  • Generate case expense and Loadstar reports for partners
  • Support year-end 1099 preparation and distribution
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and project support to the Director of Finance and/or Accounts Payable Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; prior law firm experience is a plus
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with ProLaw is a plus
